Saint Patrick’s Day! It’s not a holiday I do very much to celebrate, but it is a holiday that I get excited over.
1.) It’s in March! (my birthday is in March…this means good vibes all around.)
2.) It’s about a lot of green. Green is presently tied with orange as my favorite color and therefore anything circulating around green or orange decorations (i.e. St. Pats day and Halloween) usually gets me a little excited.
3.) I have a thing about clovers…specifically four leaf clovers. Saint Patrick’s day is the day where clovers pop up all over the place, and I love that.
4.) People always assume I have Irish blood in me. I’m not actually sure that I do… (probably? in there somewhere?) but I’ll claim it…and it’s a good reason to get merry on the Saint Patrick’s Day anyway.
5.) Did I mention Holiday-T’s? Target, specifically being my favorite location of Holiday T-shirts, but really anywhere you can find them, I get a little bit excited about them. (And then you save them and wear them during ‘off-season’ …it makes EVERYDAY a holiday.) … yes.
And now, in the Irish spirit, a random quote (by an Irishman, no less!) that I like: May I have the courage today To live the life that I would love, To postpone my dream no longer But do at last what I came here for And waste my heart on fear no more.
~ John O’Donohue
Hope everyone got their Irish on yesterday!
